International Conference in Asia 2013 held in Bangalore, India from December 16th to 20th, 2013, Assistant Professor Hajime Wagata of the Department of Environmental Science and Technology, Faculty of Engineering, received the Best Poster Award for “Flux Grown KTiNbO5 Crystals for Removal of Metal Ions in Aqueous Solutions”. IUMRS is an international conference at which advanced materials researchers in a wide range of fields from around the world gather. IUMRS-ICA is held once per year in the main cities of Asia. This time there were 27 symposium sessions, at which a total of more than 1,300 papers were presented.
The Best Poster Award is awarded for excellent presentations selected from among the approximately 700 poster presentations, and this year 35 people were selected for the award.
The presentation that was the subject of the award discussed the capability of flux grown KTiNbO5 crystals to remove metal ions from water.
