Personal identity using the DNA typing has progressed rapidly in these last few decades. The problem with which forensic scientists have recently been confronted involves the technical difficulty of analyzing degraded DNA samples. Our main research field is the DNA typing of degraded DNA samples. Also, we are researching forensic pathology and molecular genetics in sudden death.
We have a great societal responsibility for the cause of death investigation. Developments in forensic research will lead to increase of the accuracy of the cause of death investigation.
