Graduate School of Science and Technology(Master's Program)>Department of Biomedical Engineering>Biomedical Engineering Division
The Biomedical Engineering Division conducts integrated research of science and technology, and medical science. Through the research of medical science, biology, and physiology and the development of medical robots, biological devices and biological materials, we apply the knowledge to medical care and welfare.
In particular, we extensively research the problems of medical care, health care, and welfare from the viewpoints of mechanical system engineering, robotics, biomedical engineering, biomaterial engineering, welfare engineering, and motor function engineering.
We set our mission to solve the various problems in the field of medical care, health care, and welfare that are the result of the rapid progress of population ageing and declining birthrate, and we conduct advanced research in the field of biomedical technology because there are very high social needs.
We apply the knowledge obtained from the research to the care of the elderly, advanced medical care, etc., manufacture human-friendly products, and pursue a society in which we can be both mentally and physically healthy.
