Mechanical Systems EngineeringMechanical Systems Mechanical SystemsEngineeringMechanical SystemsInturbulence,three-dimensionalandtangleddisturbancesarealternatingceaselessly.OurcurrentchallengeistoelucidatecoherentstructuresinturbulentshearflowsbymeansofaMEMSmicrophonearrayandhotwireanemometrythatcancaptureastreakstructurenearthewallaswellashair-pinvortices.Inaddition,‘laminar-turbulenttransition,’whichonecanregardasembryologyofturbulence,isalsoinvestigatedusingflakeparticlesandahigh-powerlasersheet.Thereisanincreasingdemandforautonomousrobotsworkingindailyindoorandoutdoorenvironmentsanddisaster-affectedenvironments.Becausetheseenvironmentsarenotstructuredforautomatedmachines,robotsshouldbeabletoanalyzetheenvironmentsandplantheirmotionsaccordinglytoconductvarioususefulworks.Thusweareconductingfundamentalandempiricalresearchestodevelophigh-levelautonomoussystems.‘Turbulence’isanold,butnewproblem.Itisoneofthemostfundamentalsubjectsthatpersistsfromthe20ththeworldaretryingtocentury.Researcheralloverunderstand“turbulence”usingsupercomputersandover-100-meterwindtunnelfacilitiesintherecentyears.Inordertoapproachtheessenceofaturbulentflow,weparticipateintheinternationaljointresearchCICLoPEandwesharethegiganticpipeflowfacility.Inourfluiddynamicsexperiments,wemeasuretheflowfieldsusingandcontrollingmanykindsofopticalandacousticdevicesaswellasstandardanemometers.Ourgraduateswithsuchexperiencesarehighlyactiveinthedevelopmentoffluidmachineries.variousrobotsareseeintheRecently,todayarestillmedia,butfromachievinghuman-likeintelligence.farroboticsresearchers,mustsolvealotWe,ofproblemsinordertocreaterobotsthatfunctioninourdailylives.Therefore,wearedevelopingintelligentsystemswhicheveryrobotinthefuturewillbeequippedwith.theserobotsofvaluereal-worldresultsandwillresearchersatuniversities.robotics.ThroughWefindexperimentsusingrealrobots,youwillvaluablevaluableexperiences.YoumayworkasengineersofproductdevelopmentforpublicconsumersorgainArray of MEMS micro sensors.
