Endoscopic procedures: endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and endo-scopic ultrasonography-related techniques.Outlook for researchIgG4-RD and especially pancreatobiliary disorders require accurate and prompt differenti-ation from malignancies since pancreatobiliary cancers are highly lethal. Endoscopic pro-cedures in the pancreatobiliary field are complicated and require high skill. Our goal is the overall improvement of pancreatobiliary disease.Pancreatic cancer is now the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related death. In most cases, the cause of disease is unknown. The pancreatobiliary field is very important in clinical re-search.?Basic research for lipid metabolism in kidney disease?Research for CKD-mineral bone disorder?Mechanism of cardiovascular disease in CKD and development of new biomarker?Research for the efficacy of newly blood purification therapies Outlook for researchPatient newly requiring dialysis therapy is about 40,000 per year. The present treatment op-tion for renal disease is not enough. We can improve therapies by our researches. Moreover, the improvement of the prognosis in patients undergoing dialysis therapy is also our mission. Trainees can acquire the knowledge of internal medicine, pathology, skills of interventional nephrology, and research method. Moreover, you can master the specific field that you are interested in. We have reported the hallmark features of IgG4-RD to be systemic or-gan involvement, the ability to involve multiple organs either simultaneously or in a metachronous fashion, imaging findings of swelling, nodules, and/or increased organ wall thickness, and a generally favorable response to glucocorticoid thera-py.Summary of ActivityRenal dysfunction or urinary protein is a risk factor that develops into renal failure, even if it is mild. Furthermore, it became clear that these are the most important risk factors causing cardiovascular diseases. The concept of “chronic kidney disease (CKD)” was established. We treat the primary disease of CKD (nephritis, immune disorder, lifestyle-related disease and so on) and perform renal replacement therapy such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and renal transplantation. We are conducting clinical research based on the question aris-ing from clinical experience, and basic research cooperating with the department of basic medicinal science.((Chief: Associate Prof. Yuji KamijoMedicine IIMedicine IINephrologyNephrologyConquering the dark organ and pancreatobiliary disordersRealizing Total Renal Care andCreate Future Nephrology!
