EngineeringEngineeringTheelectricdevices,circuits,andsensorsusingthemagnetic/novelcompositematerialsforthemsupportingthenextgenerationsystemareresearchinganddevelopingintheAdvancedMagneticDevices(Sato-Sonehara)Laboratorycollaboratingwithvariouslabs.,academicinstitutions,andcompanies.Sonehara’sgroupisdeveloping(1)thehigh-frequencythinfilminductorandnoisefilterforthesupersmartsociety(Society5.0),(2)theregenerativebrakingsystemfornextgenerationmobility(aircraftandEV),and(3)theopticalprobecurrentsensorfornextgenerationinfrastructure.Refertohttp://amdl.shinshu-u.ac.jpforthelatestinformationonourlaboratory.Makoto SoneharaInTashirolaboratory,wespecializeinresearchingenergy,sensor,actuator,andshieldtechnologieswithelectromagneticphenomena.Wevaluehumannetworksthroughourunconventionalresearchusingelectromagneticphenomenainvolvingmagnetism,whichwecall"INNO-vationresearch"(unconventionalresearchbasedonareversewayofthinking).Oneoftheseareasismagneticfieldenergyharvesting(MFEH).Inadditiontojointresearchwithcompaniesthatcanunderstandresearchpresentationsatacademicconferences,weactivelypromotemedical-engineeringandagricultural-engineeringcooperationprojectswithotheruniversities,notonlyaspartofourresearchresults.Kunihisa TashiroIbelievethatiftheabovedevicesandsensorsarerealized,theywillsupportapartinhardwaretechnologyofthesupersmartsocietyandthenextgenerationmobilityindustry/infrastructure.Inaddition,anydevice/sensorleadstohighefficiencyofthesystem,contributingtoalow-carbonsocietyasitwillsavetheenergybythedevicelevel.ManyAMDLgraduatesworkinthevariouscompanies,andtheresearchinstitutes,etal.Theyhasnotonlyaskilloftheelectricalandelectronicengineeringbutalsoanideaoftheglobalenvironmentandthesavingenergy.Twelveyearsafterourfirstreportin2011,MFEHforelectricalrailwaysandtransmissionlines,iswellknownasamethodbywhichasystemcanharnessanambient,alternatingmagneticfieldinordertoscavengeenergy.MFEHisapromisingmethodfornotonlyEH-WSN,butalsowirelesspowertransfer(WPT).Ourpublishedbook,Magneticenergyharvesting,hasalsobeentranslatedintoEnglishbook.Almostgraduatedstudentswillbeakeypersoninacompany.Thefieldsofcompanyarenotonlylimitedtoelectricalandelectronics,butalsoinstrumentation,medical,infrastructureandsoon.Becauseapplicationsofmagneticshelpourmodernlife,engineersrelatedtomagneticsareveryimportant.Ourpublishedbook,Magneticenergyharvesting.In2016,itreceivedabestbookawardfromAEMsociety,Japan.SchematicexplanationofMFEHforelectricalrailways.MFEHcouldbecategorizedintothecable-clampedandfree-standenergyharvesters.INNO-vationResearch Utilizing Magnetism, Development of Elec.
