School of Medicine, Shinshu University enters into an Agreement for Academic Cooperation and Exchange with the Faculty of Medicine, Technische Universit?t Dresden (TUD), Germany

On September 20, 2016, the School of Medicine, Shinshu University entered into an agreement for academic cooperation and exchange with the Faculty of Medicine, Technische Universit?t Dresden.  Through this agreement, both institutions have already launched the Erasmus+ Program with the European Commision funds. 

The program encourages both faculty staff and students to visit the other institution not only to further develop their expertise but also to stimulate internationalization at the receiving institution.  As an initial step, a delegation of TUD was welcomed to Shinshu University for one week on this program, and engaged in active discussions with President of Shinshu University Dr. Kunihiro Hamada, Dean of the School of Medicine Dr. Eiji Tanaka, and other Shinshu faculties and centers.

Technische Universit?t Dresden is one of the “Universities of Excellence”, and about one eights of its students come from abroad.  Shinshu University and Technische Universit?t Dresden are expecting to conduct more joint researches and student exchanges bridging East and West.
