16.12.05
Professor Jun Nakayama of the Shinshu University Academic Assembly School of Medicine and Health Sciences' Institute of Medicine was recognized for the highly meaningful opinions he provided during the document examination phase of inspections for the KAKENHI Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research program operated by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
Since FY 2008, recipients of this commendation have been chosen by the JSPS' Academic Systems Research Center from among KAKENHI examination committee members for their contributions of meaningful opinions during the first-phase general examinations (document-based examinations), based on document verification results from this phase. These important initial document inspections lay the foundations for all later examinations and the ultimate selection of KEKENHI recipients. In FY 2016, Professor Nakayama was 1 of 268 persons recognized from a pool of approximately 5,700 examination committee members.
On November 15, 2016, Shinshu University President Kunihiro Hamada and Trustee and Vice President Soichiro Nakamura presented Professor Nakayama with a certificate of commendation.
