The 12th International Seminar: Crisis Management Aiming for Safe Study Abroad

22.07.07

Shinshu University School of Medicine is planning to resume our overseas training program for fifth-year students, in the fall of 2022. On the other hand, there is also the possibility of theft, disaster, or illness while studying abroad. In order for dispatched students to spend their time safely abroad and return home safely, it is necessary to make sure that they have learned how to avoid and respond to crises.
On June 20, 2022, Mr. YAMAGISHI Yu in JCSOS (Japanese Council for the Safety of Overseas Students) gave us a lecture on how to deal with troubles during study abroad, including case studies and practical advice, such as how to reissue passport or credit card, submitting a residence notice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and checking emergency exits. Approximately 20 students, including the families of dispatched students and younger students who are considering studying abroad in the future, attended this seminar and learned the essentials of crisis management when studying abroad.
Shinshu University School of Medicine provides close guidance and support to our students in order that their overseas medical training will be safe and also fruitful.
