The 26th International Exchange Seminar: Hybrid Lecture by Professors Yu Weifang and Zhai Haihun from Hebei Medical University

Since the establishment of an inter-university academic exchange agreement in 1986, Hebei Medical University and our university have continued to actively engage in mutual exchanges of students and researchers, promotion of joint research, and information exchange on academic studies. Furthermore, to strengthen the collaboration between the two universities, a Shinshu University Satellite Office was established within Hebei Medical University in 2019.

On June 20, 2024, coinciding with the visit of a delegation from Hebei Medical University led by Professor Zhai Haihun, an international exchange seminar was held, connecting our university's Faculty of Medicine and the Shinshu University Satellite Office at Hebei Medical University online.

Firstly, Professor Yu Weifang, Director of the Endoscopy Center at the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University, who observed gastroenterology treatment at our university for six months starting in December 2023, spoke about the differences in gastroenterology and endoscopic treatment between Hebei Medical University and Shinshu University, as well as his interactions with our faculty members. Following this, Professor Zhai Haihun, Professor at the Center for Medical History Research at Hebei Medical University and former Secretary-General, delivered a lecture on the history of exchange between the two universities and the university management system in China.

A total of 20 students, graduate students, and faculty members participated in the seminar, both onsite at the Hebei Medical University Satellite Office and online. Following the seminar, a grand reception was held, where participants celebrated the visit of their friends, fostering genuine international exchange.

This visit and seminar allowed us to reaffirm the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two universities. We aim to continue effectively utilizing the satellite office to strengthen the friendly relations between the universities, anticipating numerous achievements in education and research based on the long-lasting friendship between the two institutions.
