An ecological mind is one that learns and takes part in environmental activities through on its own initiative. Therefore, it is difficult to foster ecological minds through study alone; daily step-by-step practical experience is also required. The Faculty of Engineering has established an ecological campus certified according to ISO 14001 through student-centered activities. The concept of an ISO 14001 certified ecological campus as a center of practical environmental education to train ecologically-minded students, differs from the application of ISO 14001 in the commercial sector.
