Hiroyuki Muramatsu, Assistant Professor of the Institute of Carbon Science and Technology, received a Publication Award at the 40th Carbon Society of Japan held in Onojo from 8th to 10th December 2014
The award was for the publication “Preparation and structure analysis of double wall-carbon nanotubes encapsulating gadolinium trichloride nanowires” [published in the society’s journal “Tanso”, No. 260, pp 279 to 283 (2013)]
An image taken by the transmission electron microscope with a Cs collector, which is one of the main equipment in the Institute of Carbon Science and Technology, is used on the front cover of the Nanotechnology Platform's pamphlet.
