Based on efficient nano interface design with improved mass transfer and reaction rate as a guiding principle, we will design innovative nanocatalysts and electrode materials such as nanosheets, and synthesize high-performance, low-dimensional materials. Application of such novel nanomaterials will include electrocatalysts for fuel cells, water electrolysis, CO2 electrolysis, etc., energy storage devices such as batteries and electrochemical supercapacitors. Such advanced low-dimensional materials will help to progress development in environmental and energy fields, and should play an important role in building a sustainable society.
