We announce two international activities:

1. IEEE Sensor 2021(Oct. 31- Nov. 4, 2021)

Prof. Tashiro chaired two oral sessions in IEEE Sensors 2021. He was also the track chair of physical sensor with Professor Giacomo Langfelder, Politecnico di Milano, Italy. According to the opening session, there were 363 accepted papers from the 568 submissions. It corresponded to 59 % acceptance. Although it was a virtual conference, the total participants were up to 700. The number of participants from Japan was 65, which was the second number of the conference. The number of participants by country was 152 from the USA, 65 from Japan and 45 from Germany.

2. ICPTech2021(23-24, Nov., 2021)

Prof. Tashiro will give an invited talk at 1st International Conference on Plantation Technology (ICPTech2021). His talk, LS‐PET‐II, will be in "Postharvest Engineering and Technology II" from 14:00 at 23 Nov. 2021. The title is "Fruit Battery Method for Oil Palm Fruit Ripeness Sensor and Comparison with Computer Vision Method". He will introduce a preharvest evaluation with air core coils and postharvest evaluation with a fruit battery method. It is a memory of collaboration research from 2013, with Prof. Norhisam in UPM.
