Research of the actual rate of waste separation accomplishment by ISO Environment Management Student Committee
Meeting about eco bag design by the ISO Environment Management Student Committee
The Shinshu University Co-op also organizes environmental activities by cooperating with the university. The Co-op shop has an exclusive corner for environmental books. At the Co-op cafeteria the student volunteer group ‘Douraku-mura’ prepares a salad bar with fresh vegetables harvested in the local area. This promotes ecological activities through dietary education, and helps promote the production and consumption of locally-grown food.
The Matsumoto campus environmental ISO student committee promotes activities to accomplish zero emissions on the campus by plotting out standards to separate renewable resources from waste applied over all ecological campuses and researching the actual rate of waste separation accomplishment.
An educational DVD made by the student committee is used in ecological guidance for all students of the university.
Furthermore it is in charge of the design of ecobags given to new students in the first semester. Ecobags are presented to all new students every April with a passion for the environment by the Matsumoto campus ISO student committee.
