Associate Professor Kojiro Iizuka of the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology Receives Best Paper Award from Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics

At the meeting of the Robotics and Mechatronics Division of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers held from May 25th to 29th, 2014 at the Toyama City Gymnasium, Toyama International Conference Center, Associate Professor Kojiro Iizuka of the Functional Machinery and Mechanics Course, Division of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, received the JRM Best Paper Award. This award was for an outstanding paper published in the Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics, Vol. 24. Associate Professor Kojiro Iizuka presented a paper entitled “Development of a Small, Lightweight Rover with Elastic Wheels for Lunar Exploration, describing the elastic wheels for a lightweight lunar rover made from sheet metal that can travel on severe environments such as the surface of the moon.
