Courtesy Visit by Czech Ambassador to Faculty of Textile Science and Technology

On November 6th, 2013, Her Excellency Ms. Katerina Fialkova, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Japan, made a courtesy visit to Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu University. In 2011, the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology concluded an agreement of academic cooperation and exchange with the Technical University of Liberec in Liberec City in the north of the Czech Republic.
Professor Hamada, Dean of the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology and other faculty members presented an outline of education and research at the faculty, international links and industrial liaison initiatives, and described the history and results of the exchange with the Technical University of Liberec. Ambassador Fialkova stated that she hoped that the advanced research achievements in the fields of fibers and fiber engineering made by the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology would lead to research and human resource development in the field of nanotechnology further, which the Czech Government was actively promoting.
