Associate Professor Hiroyuki Kanai of the Advanced Textile Engineering Course, Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, wins the Textile Machinery Society of Japan Award for Academic Achievement

Associate Professor Hiroyuki Kanai of the Advanced Textile Engineering Course, Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, won the Textile Machinery Society of Japan Award for Academic Achievement at the 68th Textile Machinery Society of Japan Conference, which was held at the Osaka Science and Technology Center from June 5 to 6. The Textile Machinery Society of Japan Award for Academic Achievement is awarded to budding researchers who have had multiple original papers published in the Journal of Textile Engineering.

Associate Professor Kanai has been engaged in research that seeks to make textile products highly functional and ensure they have high added value from a range of perspectives, and which expresses these values through numerical values. Since 2004, he has published his research achievements on an annual basis in the abovementioned journal, and was thus given this award in recognition of his vigorous research activities.
