Li Yi (D3) wins an Award at the ICRA 2015: IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation

Li Yi of the Department of Bioscience and Textile Technology (D3), Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Science and Technology, won the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Japan Chapter Young Award (2015) at the ICRA 2015: IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, held from May 26 to 30 at Washington State Convention Center (Seattle, U.S.A.). This award was set up in 2003 with the assistance of the IEEE Japan Council with the aims of developing outstanding young researchers studying at graduate schools in Japan, and reinvigorating the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA).
The title of the winning presentation was “A proposal of a light-weight walking assist wear using PVC gel artificial muscles by Yi Li and Minoru Hashimoto.” The award ceremony was held on May 27.
