Professor Yasushi Fuwa, Director of the Shinshu University Integrated Intelligence Center (IIC), was chosen to receive the Fiscal 2015 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Shin-etsu Regional Bureau of Telecommunications Director’s Commendation. Professor Fuwa received this award at the Radio Day Commemorative Ceremony, held on June 1, 2015 at Mielparque Nagano (Nagano City).
Professor Fuwa received this award for his role in spearheading technological tests as chairman of the Review Panel for Technology that makes Efficient Use of Frequencies for Eliminating Poor Reception in Mountainous Regions, and for having made major contributions to creating measures for the efficient use of frequencies, and for drawing up plans for technological requirements for this.
