'"Kagayaki?Tsunagu" Hokuriku?Shinshu Employment Promotion Program for Foreign Students' Selected by MEXT

" 'Kagayaki?Tsunagu' Hokuriku?Shinshu Employment Promotion Program for Foreign Students" jointly applied by Kanazawa University and Shinshu University was selected as one of the program under the employment promotion program for foreign students offered by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). This program will be implemented for up to 5 years from FY 2019. The purpose of this program is to develop high-level professional human resources that have expert knowledge in advanced technology, and have the capability to adapt themselves to the local corporate culture of Japan in order to revitalize the industries in Hokuriku / Shinshu areas that will benefit the growth of Japan.
Due to the difference in local corporate culture and custom, previously local foreign students that later working in Japan are centralized in the urban area. In order to match with companies in Hokuriku / Shinshu areas, this program will provide education for current foreign students such as "Business Japanese education", "Career education" and "Internship program" and deepen the bond between current foreign students and local companies through collaborations with local authorities including Nagano and Ishikawa prefecture and economic organization like Nagano Employers' Association, Hokuriku Economic Federation.
By this collaborative effort with Kanazawa University, together with the opening of Hokuriku Shinkansen (bullet train), it is expected to be able to deepen the new connection in Hokuriku / Shinshu areas, revitalize Hokuriku / Shinshu areas, and encourage local companies to expand overseas through the active participation of current foreign students.
