Shinshu University ranked Japan No. 1 in UI GreenMetric World University Rankings

In UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2018, Shinshu University ranked 1st in Japan and 48th in the world.
UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, which evaluates the efforts for sustainable campus environment, started in 2010 and its indicators apply in 9 of 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals adopted by UN Summit in 2015).
Shinshu University ranked 1st in Japan (10 participants including Hokkaido University, Kyoto University), 48th in the world (719 participants in 81 countries) , 8th in Asia (306 participants), and was highly evaluated in each indicator of Waste, Education and Resarch, Energy and Climate Change.
We believe that this shows the result of the effort in "Green" among three "G" which is the basic policy of university administration. We will continue to make further efforts to develop human resources with an environmental mindset.
