1. What made you come train at Shinshu University School of Medicine and how did you find the School through your stay?
I went to Japan in 2019 and have always planned to return because I love the place, culture, food, and people. When I heard about this program from my university, I committed to studying at Shinshu University. I am passionate about understanding diseases through studying their pathophysiology and have a strong interest in diabetes and endocrinology. I want to learn how these conditions are diagnosed, treated, and how patients are educated so that I can apply this knowledge in my country. Overall, studying in this department has been a truly eye-opening experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to join this program.
2. Please describe your training at host department/lab.
At the Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism, our daily activities include morning conferences, medical examinations, and afternoon conferences. Every day, we gather for conferences to review patient conditions and decide on the next course of treatment in collaboration with other doctors. We also conduct medical examinations for different patients daily. Additionally, we sometimes engage in research and attend lectures. Every day is very enjoyable because I learn new things constantly.

During this short period of exchange, I have learned a great deal. I gained numerous new experiences, made many new friends, and acquired valuable lessons. As I move forward in life, I plan to apply what I have learned here. For instance, I will strive to remain professional on both good and challenging days, work diligently, show respect to others, study harder, seize every opportunity, and, of course, remain grateful for the support I have received from my family, my university, and most importantly, from God.
