Nagano City Youth Design Life Support Site and "Lifestyle" Booklet

A booklet on “Life Design” created by the Nagano City Marriage Support Office and the Home Economics Education Course Jung Laboratory is now available in print as well as its online version.
The booklet is a result of a joint research project conducted last year as a part of the Nagano City Youth Life Design Support Project, between the Nagano City Marriage Support Office and the Home Economics Education Course Jung Laboratory of the Faculty of Education.
This booklet is an accumulation of what students have learned through listening to experts and interviewing older people about life, money, pregnancy and birth, and childrearing. Students attended workshops and were able to experience interacting with small children. The book summarizes what they would like to inform others of their generation.
The booklet aims to help young people ease their anxiety about and give steps to find work, get married, pregnancy, birth and childrearing, and home life and work life that follows. The city hopes it will be an opportunity for people to find out about concrete support measures provided by the city of Nagano.
The booklet can be found at high schools, vocational schools, universities and other locations in the prefecture. Please take a look if you come across it.
