The ending ceremony and briefing session of the 2nd term of Shinshu 100 Year Business Program was held online on March 25th. While most events have been suspended to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it was necessary to report on the achievements of this program for all those involved, and those who will continue this project in the year ahead. The event was held via an online conference system.
The debriefing session and ceremony was available online for media, those interested in the project, businesses involved and the research fellows. Online tutorial lectures were held beforehand for those not accustomed to online conferences. Despite the announcement of the event only being shared on facebook, the online forum was attended not only by people from outside the prefecture but even overseas, which would not have been possible if it was not an online event.
The five research fellows reported on the situation of each of their host company, future scenarios centered on the industry, and the first action that would be taken towards achieving that goal. How will each company respond to the future? What new material will replace plastics? How will mobility change? How can the strength of the region be leveraged for the local area? Questions and comments were received from the online chat forum.
The certificate awarding ceremony was held by representatives. Four of the five research fellows are planning to continue the program through their relationship with their assigned company. The third term of this program will continue with even more precision, so if you are interested, please contact us below.
