Biomedical Big Data Office

In 2020, we established the Biomedical Big Data Office (BMBDO), an extensive database to curate scientific data across all life sciences. We invite outstanding experts to collect vast amounts of data, analyze their findings with AI and other techniques, and reapply the results in their study. We also continuously train our superior data science personnel.

Message
The BMBDO was established with the aim of utilizing the JST/OPERA "Implantable/wearable medical device co-creation consortium"-created "Physiological Data Integration System" led by the Institute for Biomedical Sciences (IBS). Data science is now an indispensable part of life sciences, and we aim to expand its critical role in future IBS research projects.
