The 5th Institute for Biomedical Sciences (IBS) International Symposium was held in Seoul, Korea on November 7, 2016.
IBS’ Distinguished Visiting Professor Dr. Heebal Kim organized the event at his own Seoul National University. The Symposium commenced with an opening address by Dr. Soichiro Nakamura, the Dean of the Interdisciplinary Cluster for Cutting Edge Research (ICCER), which was followed by engaging talks by four researchers from Seoul National University and 5 from Shinshu University and a closing address by Professor Heebal Kim himself. A wealth of questions on the intriguing presentations made for active and engaging discussion among participants. As graduate students of Seoul National University also gave poster sessions, the event offered a valuable opportunity for both researchers and students alike.
