A press conference to announce the project of near-future, self-contained, walking assistance cyborgs was held on Thursday, June 25th.
Supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan since April 2015, the project aims to develop cyborg science, namely, a self-contained walking assistance device. This is the first grand-scale research endeavor for the Interdisciplinary Cluster for Cutting Edge Research. Representatives from Shinshu University outlined the project at the conference, which concluded with a question and answer session with the media.
