The Interdisciplinary Cluster for Cutting Edge Research (ICCER) of Shinshu University and Bio-X Institutes of Shanghai Jiao Tong University signed a formal academic exchange agreement on December 15th, 2016. This partnership is expected to help the institutions raise their investigators and research to a global level.
The team of Institute for Biomedical Sciences (IBS) Distinguished Visiting Professor Weidong Li of Bio-X Institutes and members of the IBS’ Department of Biological Sciences for Intractable Neurological Diseases have been collaborating on research to elucidate the relationship between synaptic abnormality and neurological disease using genetically modified animal models.
To formalize the launch of this collaborative project and the relationship between Bio-X and IBS, a commemorative symposium was held shortly after the signing ceremony on January 18th, 2017.
